Our Medical & Forensic Consultation Services

In addition to our therapeutic services, Wright Counseling & Consulting Inc. provides independent clinical forensic assessments and medical record reviews for legal, insurance, and administrative proceedings. These are objective clinical evaluations, not therapy, designed to provide clarity in complex cases through a psychosocial and clinical diagnostic lens.

Texas Practice Scope Note: As Licensed Clinical Social Workers in Texas, we practice within the scope defined by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council and Texas Administrative Code, Title 22, Chapter 781, which includes assessment, diagnosis, and evaluation of psychosocial functioning.

For Legal Professionals (Civil Matters):

Personal Injury Impact Assessments
Clinical evaluation of emotional distress, PTSD symptoms, and functional impairment stemming from accidents or trauma. For personal injury attorneys.
Fee: $1,900 per comprehensive assessment

Immigration Hardship Evaluations
Culturally sensitive assessment of clinical hardship, trauma impact, and family system effects for immigration cases.
Fee: $1,500 per evaluation

Record Review & Clinical Case Analysis
Detailed synthesis of medical/mental health records to identify key psychological factors.
Fee: $600 (up to 100 pages)
Additional pages: $2/page beyond 100*

For Medical Referral Sources:

Bariatric Surgery Psychosocial Readiness
Assessment of emotional preparedness, understanding of lifestyle changes, and behavioral patterns for long-term success.
Fee: $1,500 per evaluation

Pre-Surgical Clinical Clearance Evaluations
Assessment of psychological stability, coping strategies, and support systems for spinal cord stimulators, pain pumps, transplants, and other high-risk surgeries.
Fee: Starting at $1,500 (final quote based on complexity)

Fitness for Duty / Workplace Accommodation Assessments
Evaluation of mental health impact on job performance with practical accommodation recommendations.
Fee: $1,500 per assessment

Texas Scope of Practice Statement:

Clinical interviews and psychosocial assessments

DSM-5-TR diagnosis of mental and emotional disorders

Evaluation of intrapersonal and interpersonal psychosocial functioning

Expert consultation on psychosocial functioning

Services Requiring Psychologist Licensure (Not Provided):

These services fall outside LCSW scope in Texas and require referral to a licensed psychologist. We maintain a referral network for these needs.

Comprehensive psychological testing (MMPI, PAI, neuropsychological batteries)

Criminal forensic evaluations (competency to stand trial, insanity defenses)

Child custody evaluations (without additional Texas certification)

These services require referral to a licensed psychologist

Collateral Data Integration
Where authorized, we may review additional records or consult with treating providers.

Report Writing & Clinical Opinions
Synthesis of all data into a clear report with clinical impressions and practical recommendations.
